Easy build to create, the obsidian pistol can be crafted from materials from the soroborean caravaner. Just wait three days to reset his inventory till you get enough, otherwise you can scrounge for it fighting obsidian elementals, which are tough for this build, but there it is. Remember that you are fast, so kite enemies as needed and pick up pressure plate training to help. Most enemies will melt, but when you need, run for it. Obsidian mace is a good standby weapon till you get the sunfall axe, and it can be crafted in the first area.
Take fire affinity from philosopher, of course. That will increase your damage.
Take elemental discharge and infuse fire from Spellblade. Elemental discharge is just another tool in your kit bag for more damage.
Take blood bullet from mercenary. Nice little self heal and decent decay damage.
